Professional Experience

Private Practice (1987 to present)
Registered Clinical Counsellor working in private practice working with children and adults. Professional interests include trauma and its effects and working with the deaf and other cultural groups. Experienced in psychodynamic treatment of long term trauma, behavior management and impulse control, child-parent issues, marital and family counseling, eating disorders, depression, anxiety and sexual abuse issues. Treatment is provided for individuals, couples and families. Art, E.M.D.R., and Neurotherapy are used as adjuncts to therapy.

Well Being Program (1992 to present)
Particular expertise in working with deaf and hearing impaired individuals. Have seen many individuals who were abused while attending the Jericho School for the deaf and living at the Jericho residence. Have written reports for many of these individuals so that they could be compensated financially by the government.

Family Services of Greater Vancouver (1999 to January 2003)
Provided counseling services to adults and children through both the Child and Family team and the Adult team at VISAC (Vancouver Incest and sexual abuse Centre )in Richmond. Liaised with Adult, Family and Child teams in both Richmond and Vancouver. Led three levels of sexual abuse groups and supervised Masters level graduate students.
